1969 – MAHATMA GANDHI CENTENARY COMMEMORATION:

On the occasion of birth centenary of M.K. Gandhi ( Mahatma Gandhi), the father of the nation, India issued this 50 paise commemorative coin on 3rd October 1969. The other coins issued for general circulation in his memory, are in the denomination of 20 paisa, 1 rupee and 10 rupees.
