2 Rupees Fss Year 2016 Floral Design MAJOR VERTICAL DIE SHIFT OFF CENTER Error **SCARE** Used Condition.

This 2016 Indian coin from the Calcutta Mint represents a significant find for error collectors. Struck in Stainless Steel (FSS), this 2 Rupees piece exhibits a dramatic vertical die shift that pushes the design off-center—a rare minting anomaly that occurred during the striking process. Such errors happen when dies misalign on the press, and modern Indian Mint errors have become increasingly sought after by numismatists building specialized collections. The major die shift documented here makes this specimen exceptionally scarce compared to standard circulation coins. In used condition, it retains authentic evidence of circulation while showcasing the minting anomaly that defines its value. Error coins, particularly those with pronounced shifts like this one, command premium prices in the collector market because they represent genuine manufacturing variations from official mints rather than contemporary counterfeit pieces.
