545454 (Tripling) Fancy Number 20 Rupees Governor D.Subba Rao Rare Unc Note

This is an exceptionally rare Indian 20 Rupees banknote featuring a distinctive tripling fancy number—a highly coveted pattern among serious numismatists. Issued under Governor D. Subba Rao's tenure at the Reserve Bank of India, this note represents an important chapter in India's post-independence currency history. The fancy number configuration makes this specimen particularly scarce, as such perfect repetitions are rarely encountered in circulation or collections. The note is in uncirculated (Unc) condition, meaning it has been preserved in pristine state without signs of wear, handling, or damage. This superior condition significantly enhances its collectible appeal and investment potential. D. Subba Rao's signature adds historical authenticity and prestige to the piece, as his era marked a transformative period in Indian monetary policy. Collectors of Indian currency treasure such specimens for their rarity, historical significance, and aesthetic appeal. The tripling fancy number pattern elevates this note beyond ordinary denominations, making it a sought-after addition to specialized collections. This is an ideal investment piece for both seasoned numismatists and emerging collectors interested in authenticated, high-grade Indian currency artifacts. #
