786 FANCY NUMBER 5 RUPEES GOVERNOR BIMAL JALAN RARE UNC (100 NOTE ) SERIAL PACKET

This is a rare 5 Rupees banknote from India, featuring the signature of Governor Bimal Jalan, one of the most sought-after signatures in Indian currency collecting. The note carries a "fancy number" serial number (786), which significantly enhances its collectible appeal among enthusiasts who prize numerologically auspicious or aesthetically pleasing serial combinations. Bimal Jalan served as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India during a transformative period in India's monetary history. Notes bearing his signature represent an important era in Indian currency and are increasingly difficult to find in uncirculated (UNC) condition. The "100 note" designation refers to this being part of a premium collection packet, preserved in exceptional condition without circulation wear. This particular specimen stands out due to the combination of factors: the prestigious Bimal Jalan signature, the lucky fancy number 786, and its pristine uncirculated state. For numismatists and Indian currency collectors, this represents both historical significance and investment potential. The rarity of finding such notes in perfect condition, coupled with growing demand from serious collectors, makes this an attractive acquisition for those building specialized collections of Indian banknotes or governor-signed currency. #
