Second World War British- India 1939-1945 without Clip Medal # E-218

This scarce Second World War British-India medal (Model E-218) commemorates the service of Indian military personnel during 1939-1945, issued without its original suspension clip—a detail that adds authenticity to its wartime provenance. Cast in durable metal, the piece reflects the craftsmanship of mid-20th-century military commendations. A genuine artifact from the subcontinent's pivotal WWII contribution, this medal captures a significant yet often overlooked chapter of imperial military history. Collectors of Commonwealth militaria and South Asian war memorabilia prize these examples for their historical substance and scarcity. The absent clip, rather than diminishing value, signals age and actual field service rather than pristine storage. An essential addition for serious military historians and collectors building authentic WWII Commonwealth collections, offering both historical depth and numismatic appeal.
