10 Rupees Shalimar Governor C. Rangarajan Serial Packet

This 10 Rupees banknote from the Shalimar series features the signature of Governor C. Rangarajan, a pivotal figure in India's monetary policy during the 1990s. Issued by the Reserve Bank of India, this note represents a significant chapter in Indian currency history when Rangarajan led the central bank through critical economic reforms. The serial packet designation indicates this is an uncirculated bundle, preserving pristine condition and sequential numbering—highly prized by serious collectors. Rangarajan's tenure (1992-1997) coincided with India's liberalization, making notes bearing his signature increasingly sought after. The note's excellent preservation, combined with the historical importance of this governor's era and the rarity of complete serial packets, makes it an outstanding addition to any Indian currency collection. Perfect for those pursuing comprehensive RBI governor collections or 1990s monetary history documentation.
