This is a rare 2 Rupees banknote featuring the Satellite Governor design, issued during India's post-independence monetary period. The note is specifically notable for bearing the signature of I.J. Patel, a distinguished Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, making it a significant piece of Indian numismatic history. The "100 NOTE SERIAL PACKET" designation indicates this is part of a consecutive serial collection, which adds considerable value to collectors seeking complete or sequential sets. The Satellite Governor series represents an important era in Indian currency design, reflecting the nation's technological advancement and scientific achievements. Notes from this period, particularly those with specific gubernatorial signatures, are increasingly difficult to source in quality condition. This particular specimen represents both historical significance and rarity, as I.J. Patel's tenure and associated currency issues are highly sought after by serious collectors. The consecutive serial numbering enhances its investment appeal, as collectors prize sequential batches for their uniformity and authenticity verification. Whether you're building a gubernatorial signature collection or focusing on Indian currency history, this piece offers genuine collectible merit and potential appreciation value. An excellent addition for numismatists and Indian currency enthusiasts. #
