This exceptional 50 Rupees note showcases the signature of D. Subbarao, a highly respected Reserve Bank Governor whose currency notes are among the most sought-after by collectors today. The specimen is presented in pristine Gem Uncirculated condition—it has never circulated and retains the sharp crispness and brilliant lustre that discerning collectors prize. What elevates this particular note is the rare telescope number sequence embedded in its serial number, a special configuration that significantly increases its numismatic value. Additionally, this note belongs to a complete sequential serial packet, an extraordinarily difficult find in the collecting world. During Subbarao's tenure, RBI notes became focal points for investment-minded collectors, and his signature pieces have consistently appreciated in value. The combination of his prestigious governorship, the note's pristine preserved state, and this specific rare serial number pattern makes it an outstanding acquisition for anyone building a serious Indian currency collection.
