100 Rupee Note Gandhi Issue B.N. Adarkar Note Serial No. 824220 SKU DG5

This exceptional 100 Rupee banknote from India's Gandhi Issue represents a significant piece of numismatic history. Issued by the Reserve Bank of India and signed by B.N. Adarkar, a notable RBI Governor, this note carries serial number 824220—a straightforward but legitimate identifier from the classical period of Indian currency. The Gandhi series, prominently featuring Mahatma Gandhi, reflects the nation's post-independence identity and remains highly sought after by serious collectors. What makes this particular note especially desirable is the combination of its denomination, issuing authority signature, and age; Gandhi Issue notes in quality condition have become increasingly difficult to locate as many have succumbed to circulation wear. Collectors prize these notes for their historical significance, artistic design, and the role they played in shaping modern India's monetary system. This piece would be an excellent addition to any Indian currency collection or as a standalone investment in tangible historical artifacts.
