Add a significant piece of modern numismatic history to your collection with this Reserve Bank of India 500 Rupees banknote, issued during the Mahatma Gandhi series in 2014. This rare paper currency features the highly sought-after signature of former RBI Governor Raghuram G. Rajan, a tenure celebrated by economic enthusiasts worldwide. The multicolored paper note beautifully showcases the iconic portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and the revered Ashoka Lion Capital on the obverse, alongside the historic Dandi March depicted on the reverse. Because the Indian government officially withdrew this high-denomination note from circulation in November 2016, surviving specimens have become exceptionally scarce and desirable for serious paper money collectors. Preserved in pristine Uncirculated (UNC) condition, this crisp, freshly minted specimen exhibits no folds or handling marks, retaining its original sheen and texture. Complete with its distinct plain inset and special serial number prefix, this remarkable artifact represents a rapidly vanishing era of Indian financial heritage.
