This authentic 10 Rupees banknote hails from the Republic of India, issued between 1985 and 1990 during R.N. Malhotra's tenure as Reserve Bank of India Governor. The distinctive black note features an iconic boat design on its reverse, characteristic of Indian currency from this era. Graded UNC (Uncirculated), this note remains in pristine condition—a remarkable find for banknotes of its age. The R.N. Malhotra signature makes this piece historically significant, as it represents a specific period in India's monetary authority. Collectors prize notes from this signature series for their numismatic value and the gateway they provide into mid-1980s Indian economic history. Whether you're a seasoned numismatist or beginning a currency collection, this well-preserved gem combines rarity, historical context, and investment potential in one exceptional piece.
