2 Rupees Half Tiger Governor P.C. Bhattacharya Rare Green Note

This exceptional 2 Rupees note features Governor P.C. Bhattacharya's signature and is celebrated among Indian currency collectors for its striking green coloration and historical significance. Issued during a pivotal era of India's monetary system, this denomination represents an important chapter in post-independence currency design. The Half Tiger watermark is a distinctive security feature that adds to its authenticity and appeal. What makes this piece truly rare is the combination of its vibrant green hue, the specific gubernatorial signature, and limited circulation—factors that have made it increasingly difficult to locate in quality condition. Collectors prize this note for its numismatic value, historical relevance, and the artistry of mid-20th century Indian banknote engraving. Whether you're building a comprehensive collection of Indian currency or seeking a standout piece with documented provenance, this 2 Rupees note offers both aesthetic beauty and genuine rarity that typically appreciates over time.
