This exceptional Copper Paisa represents a significant piece of Indian numismatic history from the 18th century, issued by the Ratlam State during the 'Raej' period. Weighing 12.89 grams, this anonymous type coin features authentic Persian inscriptions on both obverse and reverse sides, enclosed within an elegant decorative dotted circle bearing the Persian legend 'Raej.' Ratlam State, a princely kingdom in present-day Madhya Pradesh, minted this currency during a transformative era in Indian coinage. The 'Raej' issue represents the state's autonomous monetary authority and cultural identity during the late medieval period. The Persian inscriptions reflect the Indo-Islamic influences prevalent in regional governance and trade of that era. Graded in Extremely Fine condition, this coin displays remarkable preservation with minimal wear and well-defined details that showcase the original strike quality. Its rarity makes it a prized addition to any collection focusing on regional Indian numismatics, princely state coinage, or medieval monetary systems. This piece serves as both a tangible artifact of Ratlam's sovereignty and a window into 18th-century Indian commercial and political history. Collectors appreciate such specimens for their historical significance, aesthetic appeal, and investment potential as authentic period pieces. --- #
