Indore State 1/4 Anna Shivaji Rao VS 1945 Copper Coin

This is an exceptional 1/4 Anna copper coin from Indore State, minted in 1945 (VS - Vikram Samvat era) under the reign of Shivaji Rao. Indore State, a princely state in central India, issued its own currency during the pre-independence era, making these coins historically significant artifacts of India's numismatic heritage. Crafted in copper, this quarter anna denomination represents a crucial period in Indian history when princely states maintained autonomous monetary systems. The coin features authentic inscriptions and imagery characteristic of Indore State coinage, reflecting the artistic and political identity of the period. This collectible is highly sought after by numismatists and history enthusiasts for several reasons: it documents the princely state's sovereignty, showcases period-specific metallurgy and minting techniques, and represents a vanishing piece of pre-partition India. The 1945 vintage makes it nearly 80 years old, adding to its historical authenticity and rarity. Collectors value Indore State coins for their limited circulation, cultural significance, and investment potential. This piece serves as both an educational artifact and a tangible connection to India's complex political past. Whether you're a seasoned coin collector or a history buff, this copper quarter anna offers genuine historical and monetary value. #
