Jain Acharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharajji 2024 Kolkata Mint 1 Coin (Proof Set)

This is a 2024 commemorative Proof Set coin issued by the prestigious Kolkata Mint, honoring the revered Jain Acharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharajji. Acharya Buddhisagar Surishwarji (1874–1925) was a celebrated Jain saint, scholar, and prolific writer from Gujarat, renowned for his deep spiritual insights, contributions to Jain philosophy, and his vast body of literary works spanning poetry, ethics, and religious texts. His legacy continues to inspire followers of Jainism across India and abroad. Struck in proof quality by one of India's oldest and most trusted government mints, this coin showcases exceptional detailing, a mirror-like finish, and frosted design elements—hallmarks of true proof coinage. As a single-coin proof set, it is crafted with precision for collectors who value superior strike quality and finish over regular circulation coins. This piece holds strong appeal for collectors of religious and commemorative coinage, Jain heritage enthusiasts, and numismatists building specialized collections around spiritual leaders. Given its limited mintage as a commemorative issue, its collectible and investment value is expected to appreciate over time, making it a meaningful addition to any serious collection.
