Crafted in nickel brass and weighing 2.56 grams with a diameter of 16.90mm, this currency denomination reflects Sudan's monetary system during a pivotal period in the nation's development. The coin features a striking obverse design showcasing the Sudanese coat of arms positioned between the Anno Domini (AD) and Anno Hegirae (AH) calendar years—a distinctive dual-dating characteristic that honors both the Gregorian and Islamic calendars. The reverse displays elegant Arabic inscriptions accompanied by intricate floral decorative elements, culminating with the denomination marking.
