France 200 Francs de Montesquieu Rare Note #B2

The France 200 Francs de Montesquieu is a distinguished banknote issued by the Banque de France, representing a significant piece of French numismatic heritage. This rare note features the portrait of Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu, the influential 18th-century philosopher whose ideas shaped modern political thought. The #B2 designation indicates an early serial number, adding to its collectibility among serious banknote enthusiasts. This denomination was particularly important during France's pre-Euro currency era, making it a nostalgic treasure for collectors. The note showcases exceptional design artistry with intricate security features and vibrant color printing typical of Bank of France productions. Its rarity stems from limited circulation and the passage of time, with well-preserved examples becoming increasingly scarce.
