Acquire this exceptional 1943 Philippine 5 Pesos banknote issued by the Province of Negros Oriental—a rare local currency from a pivotal moment in history. This paper note measures 107 × 66 mm and represents a fascinating chapter of regional Philippine monetary policy during the Japanese occupation era (1941-1945). Local banknotes like this were emergency issues that reflect the economic complexity and resourcefulness of provincial authorities during wartime. Collectors prize this piece for its historical significance, limited circulation, and scarcity in the numismatic market today. The note's age, combined with its provincial origin on the Island of Negros, makes it a compelling addition to collections focused on Philippine currency, World War II-era notes, or regional financial history. A genuine artifact perfect for serious collectors seeking authentic pieces with documented provenance and historical depth.
