** This is an exceptional collectible banknote from the Russian Empire, specifically a 100 Roubles note issued by the State Bank of the Russian Empire during the reign of Emperor Nicholas II (1894-1917). Dating from the 1910-1920 period, this paper currency represents a pivotal era in Russian history, just before the empire's dissolution following the Russian Revolution. What makes this piece particularly noteworthy is its impressive oversized format—measuring 260 × 122 mm—significantly larger than modern banknotes, making it a striking display piece. This substantial dimensions were characteristic of Imperial Russian notes and contribute to their visual impact and collectibility. As a standard circulation banknote that has since been demonetized, this piece is no longer legal tender, transforming it into a genuine historical artifact. Collectors and numismatists prize Imperial Russian banknotes for their artistic design, historical significance, and rarity. The 100 Rouble denomination was substantial for its time, making higher denominations like this increasingly scarce in well-preserved condition. This banknote serves as a tangible connection to pre-Soviet Russian monetary history and imperial craftsmanship. Perfect for serious collectors, history enthusiasts, or those seeking authentic Russian Empire memorabilia with genuine investment potential. **
