Rare large religious art medal of about 63 mm showing a veiled and haloed figure of the Virgin Mary with her hands at the flaming heart, in the traditional Immaculate Heart of Mary composition. The piece is struck in high relief on a thin flan, so the reverse carries the incuse mirror image of the obverse design rather than a separate type.
