This exceptional 1929 One Quarter Anna represents a cherished piece of British India's numismatic heritage. Struck under King George V's reign at the Calcutta Mint, this bronze coin captures the artistry and historical importance of early 20th-century Indian coinage. The obverse displays the monarch's crowned bust with "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR," while the reverse features ornate floral detailing surrounding the denomination and date. The absence of a mint mark confirms its Calcutta origin. In Very Fine condition with an attractive chocolate-brown patina, the coin shows minimal wear while retaining excellent detail. Collectors prize 1929 Calcutta strikes for their historical significance and increasing scarcity, making this a worthy addition to any India or British Imperial collection.Returns & refunds · FAQ · About us · Contact
