This is a 5 Rupees commemorative coin of the Republic of India dated 1996, issued for the health awareness theme "Mother's Health is Child's Health". The obverse carries the Hindi legend "स्वस्थ माँ हो स्वस्थ शिशु" with the English legend "MOTHER'S HEALTH IS CHILD'S HEALTH" around a triangle enclosing a mother nursing her child.
