Five Rs Brass Shifted Error Coin 2016 Year Hyderabad Mint RBI Mistake Coin

This exceptional Five Rupees error coin from 2016, minted at the Hyderabad facility of the Reserve Bank of India, represents a fascinating piece of modern numismatic history. Struck in brass composition, this RBI mistake coin exhibits heavy shifting—a striking error where the die alignment shifted during minting, creating distinctly misaligned impressions on the obverse and reverse. Such production anomalies are increasingly rare as modern minting technology improves, making this example particularly valuable to serious collectors. The dramatic shifting is immediately visible and authenticates the coin's genuine RBI origin. Error coins have surged in collector demand as they represent tangible manufacturing imperfections and offer investment potential beyond face value. This 2016 specimen captures a moment when precision technology occasionally faltered, resulting in unique pieces that grow scarcer each year. Perfect for numismatists specializing in Indian mint errors, modern error varieties, or those seeking distinctive conversation pieces with genuine historical provenance.
