Rare 5 Rupees coin of 1994 from the definitive coinage of Republic India, struck in cupro-nickel and carrying the small round mint mark centred below the date associated with the Bombay Mint.

• Denomination: 5 Rupees, value side with Devanagari “रुपये”, the numeral 5, “RUPEES” and the date 1994 between floral sprays.
• Obverse: Lion Capital of Ashoka with “भारत” and “INDIA” at the sides and “सत्यमेव जयते” below.
• Mint: Bombay, indicated by the dot centred below the date.
• Metal: cupro-nickel, plain round flan with beaded border.
• Diameter: about 25 mm as measured on the scan.
• Condition: Very Fine, evenly circulated with light wear on the high points, natural grey toning and a few minor surface marks.
