MAHATMA BASAVESHWARA 2006 MUMBAI MINT RARE 2 COINS ((UNC SET))

This exclusive UNC set features two commemorative coins issued in 2006 by the Mumbai Mint, honoring Mahatma Basaveshwara, the revered 12th-century philosopher, poet, and social reformer from Karnataka who founded the Lingayat movement and championed equality, education, and social justice. Struck by the Government of India as a tribute to his enduring legacy, these coins are a fitting numismatic homage to one of India's most influential spiritual and social leaders. Crafted in fine metal with sharp, well-defined strikes, both coins in this UNC (Uncirculated) set retain their original mint luster, showcasing crisp detailing of Basaveshwara's portrait and inscriptions. Being a Mumbai Mint issue adds to its authenticity and desirability among serious collectors. This rare two-coin set is a valuable addition for numismatists, history enthusiasts, and those building collections centered on Indian commemorative coinage. With limited mintage and growing scarcity, sets like this appreciate in value over time. Ideal for gifting, display, or long-term investment, this piece connects collectors to a significant chapter of India's cultural and social history.
