MOTILAL NEHRU - 2012 MUMBAI MINT 2 COINS ((UNC SET))

This collectible piece commemorates Motilal Nehru, the eminent freedom fighter and father of India's first Prime Minister, through a special 2012 commemorative ₹2 coin issued by the Government of India to mark his 125th birth anniversary. Struck at the prestigious Mumbai Mint, this coin comes as a UNC (Uncirculated) set of 2 coins, ensuring pristine mint-fresh quality with sharp strike details and original luster intact. Made from a nickel-brass or similar composite metal alloy typical of Indian commemorative coinage, the coin features intricate detailing befitting its tribute to Motilal Nehru's contribution to India's independence movement and political legacy as a prominent Congress leader in the early 20th century. Commemorative coins like this hold significant historical and numismatic value, as they are issued only in limited quantities for specific anniversaries, making them harder to find in the open market over time. For collectors, this UNC set is highly desirable due to its untouched, non-circulated condition—an important factor in determining a coin's grade and value. Whether you're a serious numismatist or a history enthusiast, this set offers both aesthetic appeal and a meaningful connection to India's freedom struggle.
