This is a Republic of India 1 Rupee commemorative coin of 1992, issued to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Quit India Movement of 1942. The obverse carries the Lion Capital of Ashoka with “भारत” and “INDIA”, the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” and the denomination “1 RUPEE”. The reverse shows a group of marching freedom fighters with a flag, the bilingual legend “भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन / QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT”, the dual date “1942 – 1992” and “स्वर्ण जयंती / GOLDEN JUBILEE”.
