Error 2 Rupees 2007 Rotated Die Error Unity in Diversity Calcutta Mint Republic India Coin

A Rare Republic India 2 Rupees of 2007 from the "Unity in Diversity" hand gesture series, set aside by the mint error lot because its two faces do not line up. With the Lion Capital face held upright, the denomination face is turned about a quarter turn clockwise, leaving the hand at the top right and the large "2" with "रुपये RUPEES" lying on its side.

• Main fault: rotated die, roughly 75 to 90 degrees out of alignment between the two faces.
• Secondary fault: thin raised die cracks crossing the Lion Capital face below "INDIA" and above the date.
• Denomination: 2 Rupees, Republic India.
• Year: 2007, clearly legible below the Lion Capital.
• Mint: not stated, as the area below the date is too worn to read a mark.
• Metal: ferritic stainless steel; diameter about 27.9 mm.
• Condition: Fine, with even circulation wear, hairlines and honest handling marks.
• Mint: Calcutta Mint
