Step back into the fascinating era of British India's princely states with this rare copper Pav Anna, issued under the Holkar dynasty of Indore. Struck in Samvat 1945 (approximately 1888 AD), this quarter anna coin measures about 26 mm with a plain edge and features the iconic, humped Nandi bull standing proudly on the obverse. The reverse displays the denomination "Pav Ano" framed within a delicate beaded circle and an ornate leafy wreath. Graded as Very Fine, this specimen exhibits a pleasing, even brown patina and honest circulation wear that speaks to its authentic history in the bustling marketplaces of 19th-century central India. While the outer Devanagari legends show typical softness, the central motifs and bull remain remarkably distinct. For numismatists specializing in princely state coinages, Indian copper series, or symbolic fauna motifs, this piece offers a tangible link to the Holkar rulers' heritage. Rest assured, the detailed photographs display the exact historical artifact you will proudly add to your collection.Returns & refunds · FAQ · About us · Contact
